A few years ago, I had the second cavity in my life and I had to get it filled.<\/p>\n
The dentist didn’t give me enough anesthesia so I could feel her drilling and hitting the nerve in my tooth.<\/p>\n
This experience alone makes me want to stay away from sugar and never have a cavity in my life again.<\/p>\n
After going through business school for two years without visiting the dentist, I decided it was time to make a visit a few weeks ago.<\/p>\n
Apparently everything looked good. \u00c2\u00a0And it motivated me to try to brush my teeth after lunch, too.<\/p>\n
So, now I try to brush my teeth at work some time after lunch. \u00c2\u00a0And I admit, sometimes I forget. \u00c2\u00a0I’ve got the worst discipline sometimes.<\/p>\n
Once I was getting up from my cubicle with my floss, toothbrush, and toothpaste and the women who sits across from me (TS) goes, “What are you, Mexican??”<\/p>\n
My manager and I looked at each other, saying “WTF” in our facial expressions.<\/p>\n
So she says, “No, when we were in Mexico (many of our products are made in Mexico — our factory is there) all the Mexicans got up after lunch, every day, to go brush their teeth!” \u00c2\u00a0Apparently this was very odd to her. \u00c2\u00a0To me, it seems like good dental hygiene.<\/p>\n
Wow, for a second there, we totally thought she was being a bigot!<\/p>\n
So, every time I get up to brush my teeth, I joke to my manager that I’m going to go be Mexican (according to TS).<\/p>\n
Remember how I told you that people are obsessed with the fact that I’m single?<\/p>\n
Also, whenever I brush my teeth the same coworker asks me if I have a hot date that night.<\/p>\n
