I’m a little behind on my updates.<\/p>\n

I’m sort of assuming you have been reading and are keeping up.\u00c2\u00a0 If you don’t know who Holden Caulfield is (yes, aside from the literary character from one of my favorite books), you will just have to read the earlier post titled, “Holden Caulfield.”<\/p>\n

Two Fridays ago, I got a text from Holden Caulfield.\u00c2\u00a0 I was pretty surprised.\u00c2\u00a0 I thought I’d never hear from him again.<\/p>\n

HC:\u00c2\u00a0 Hi, how are you?\u00c2\u00a0 Hope you are doing well.\u00c2\u00a0 And not falling down any steps. [emoticon with tongue sticking out]<\/p>\n

Me:\u00c2\u00a0 I haven’t fallen down any steps!\u00c2\u00a0 But if I did you’d be there right??\u00c2\u00a0 How have you been ___?<\/p>\n

HC:\u00c2\u00a0 If you fall I will catch I will be waiting [music emoticons] Time after time. . .<\/p>\n

And we continue our banter via text as Holden Caulfield is updating me about his life I know very little about via text, he slips in:<\/p>\n

HC:\u00c2\u00a0 And excited to meet up with you soon.<\/p>\n

And a bit more of back and forth.\u00c2\u00a0 I’m waiting for him to take initiative, be a bit more assertive.\u00c2\u00a0 And alas, he says:<\/p>\n

HC:\u00c2\u00a0 Cool lets be in touch let me know next time you are out on the town with your girls (See, I had invited him to come meet me and girlfriends out once)<\/p>\n

Me:\u00c2\u00a0 Ok sure.\u00c2\u00a0 But FYI you are allowed to hang out with me one on one.<\/p>\n

HC:\u00c2\u00a0 That all sounds excellent.\u00c2\u00a0 We will def hang in NYC soon.\u00c2\u00a0 (As opposed to a different city than where we both reside??)<\/p>\n

Then Holden Caulfield proceeds to tell me how he’s moving and has a month left on his lease and if I know of anyone who would want a one month sublet.\u00c2\u00a0 Dude, I don’t even know if I remember what you look like.<\/p>\n

Let’s see what he comes up with next.\u00c2\u00a0 Stay tuned.<\/p>\n
